Post by puttyhead » Sat Sep 10, 2011 3:47 pm

Hello all i have recently moved near to Lakenheath and my children like the fast jets ,so i purchased a scanner so they could hear the pilots .You can proberly guess whats coming ,how the hell does it work i have looked at the instrutions on internet but im still confused. From Milscanner i have found the frequency ,but it seems to list quite a few so how do you know which one to use.The scanner is a yupiteru mvt-7000 it was second hand and quite cheap so i am sure you get what you pay for,but i look forward to some help if possible.

Hmmm,

there's no easy reply to this. I have a yupiteru 7100 but i assume the 7000 programmes in a similar way -

1. type in frequency (lakenheath tower is 122.100) then press ENTER

2. type in the channel you want to allocate that freqency to (ie: 1) then press FUNC followed by SCAN/MW

3. type in next frequency (lakenheath approach is 136.500) then press ENTER

4. then press FUNC followed by SCAN/MW (you don't need to type in 2 for the channel if you follow each frequency in sequence

As for the frequencies, i'll send you a PM.
