lakenheath f15
Hi all just a quick question are the F15 flown by the same pilot or do they switch between planes and if so do they have to change seats or are they universal .Thanks in advance
Re: lakenheath f15
Hi,
The pilots will take whichever jet they are given, they don't have their own jets themselves. Sometimes the commanding officer of a unit will have a designated aircraft, but that's not solely his aircraft to fly. They go tech quite often, so there's usually quite a bit of rotation between squadrons.
The seats are universal, but each pilot will have a certain height, gait etc so the seats do move around. A pilot with longer legs for example will move the seat back, to avoid taking his knee-caps off on the panel if he has to eject.
Hope that helps.
