Biggin Hill 1967
Thumbing through my old log books I came across the Biggin Hill air show for the 16th Sept. 1967. There was a flypast of 4 F-101 Voodoos and 4 F-100 Super Sabres. I don't suppose anyone knows the serials.
Re: Biggin Hill 1967
I believe the F-100s were the Thunderbirds if that helps at all. I had a broken leg that year and couldn't go but my brother did, I was very jealous.
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Actually it looks like the Thunderbirds were at the Air Fair in May, not the BoB September display.

I attended this event and the 4 F-101s and 4 F-100s remain unknown. I seem to recall the weather was foul and they only broke cloud momentarily.
Re: Biggin Hill 1967
Air Britain Digest from November 1967 reviews all the RAF BoB days in some detail. They list static displays plus the 'tourists' that flew over several bases (as was common at the time).
Most of the 'tourists' in 1967 that flew over Biggin Hill also displayed at Abingdon and quite often Coltishall. Examples of this are Victor XH616, Sea Vixen XJ610 which were at all 3 airfields.
Air Britain note one of the F-100s at Abingdon as 56-3837. At Coltishall F-100 55-3683 was noted as was F-101 56-0070. It may be a stretch but could these also have been at Biggin Hill? Maybe someone at Coltishall or Abingdon on the day has further information that could help you?

Thanks for the replies boys. It was a long shot but guessed they would remain elusive. It got the brains going though. I have a few similar mystery's but don't want to block the website.
