Hopefully a simple question.
I know 8 Squadron periodically operated the de Havilland Chipmunk as a tail dragger continuation trainer/hack; did the squadron have any examples on strength in the early eighties and if so, is there a record of their serials/codes and whether they wore the squadron's unit markings and fighter bars?
I'm building a model of one of the squadron's aircraft from the eighties and it might be interesting to display a diminutive Chipmunk alongside it.
Many thanks.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

If you haven't tried a web search, this may start you off:

It seems that WP803 was with 8 Sqn although not certain of dates or whether it carried squadron bars. WK630 is or did fly in civilian hands with markings.
Hopefully of some use to you.
