Florida break October 1990

Post by Vulture 01 » Mon Feb 17, 2025 7:18 pm

I've been scanning some old slides taken at a couple of locations in Florida during October 1990. There are a few gaps in my records that I hope some of you might be able to help me fill.

First off, during a visit to Tom Reilly's place at Kissimmee on 20 Oct 90 I have a few spaces.
Outside was a fuselage of a PB4Y Privateer, along with a centre fuselage section of an A4. Alongside the entrance to the site office was another A4 forward fuselage.
I'd ideally like to tie up serials for all these please.

Second on 27 Oct 90 we went to the Kissimmee air show, where again ,I have some blanks as follow.
There was a UH1H 0-10129 for which I have no unit.
Another UH1, a UH1N this time, serial 158558, for which I require a unit - it was US Marines.
On the field was a C12D 51226 , along with an AV8B, coded 48 / KD - confirmation of serials and units would be welcome.
Finally, a U2R did several flyby's , just too far away to get it's serial.

If you coud help with any of the above equest, I'd appreciate it.

Regards

A good chance that the centre fuselage was A4 158471. I can see photos online of the forward fuselage you refer to, dumped next to an A-26C invader but no markings/serials recorded. A-4 147220 is also mentioned quite a bit

Closest I could find

From BAR/BARG 91-04

Cherry Point Air Show 13-4-91

163852 KD-48 AV-8B VMAT-203

Edit; C-12F unit would have been USSOCOM
