Post by Unknown74 » Sun Feb 27, 2011 3:11 pm

Hi all have been looking through my logs recently with the upcoming publication of MAM (&CAM) and wondered if anyone might be able to help fill in the following multitude of missing serials to log entries - yes I luckily do have dates (but not times :( ).

2)Tuesday 29th March 1988 - RAF Mildenhall
UNIDENTIFIED: USAF C-141B Starlifter and 1 (possible) Turkish A.F. C-130 Hercules.
(also was there a Blackbird movement for that date? - was there but never saw one :( ).

3) Monday 18th July 1988 - RAF Leuchars
UNIDENTIFIED: R.A.F. Nimrod MR.2, US Navy Beech UC-12M (Mildenhall), USAF MC-130E Hercules.

5) Monday 18th February 1990 - RAF Leuchars

8) Thursday 18th July 1991 - RAF Benson
UNIDENTIFIED: RAF BAe 146 - in circuit doing approaches

Cheers for that Downrange. One small question that day of that Turkish AF C-130, was there a Blackbird movement that day? Seem to remember we were there for a majority of the moring but never saw a Blackbird. If you or indeed anyone can assist with any of my other log gaps listed I would be really gratefull.

29/3/88 - There were two C-141B's at Mildenhall - 38080 (438MAW) and 70026 (437MAW)

18/7/88 - Leuchars - The UC-12M was 163840/8G from NAF Mildenhall and the MC-130E was 40566 from 7SOS.

23/7/93 - Yeovilton. XW220 CZ 240 OCU was the Puma, ZA560/C was the Tornado believed on air test from St Athan.

Hope that helps.

With regards the 2 Starlifters at The Hall can you remember wether they were in at the same time? As the one I saw was arriving around mid morning and there was no sign of a second. Apart from that thank you for your help. Once again if anyone else can help with the rest of my list I would be very greatful and appreciative :)

lol! Sorry, I can't remember. I was travelling from London up to Lincolnshire and I have a scrappy notebook, which is now yellowed with age, in which I had them noted! Good luck with the rest!
