A very long shot but does anyone have a log for the base on that day or know of a link to historic logs?
Thanks.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

Think you're right LM47, it is a very long shot.
Anglia Aeronews has P-3A 150609/LP-10 visiting on that day but doesn't record the based or TDY aircraft on a daily basis.
On the 18thJuly they list 0-20832 C-97G Dela ANG and 0-40170 C-121C Penn ANG as being present which may, or may not, have night stopped.
I wish you the best of luck with you're quest!
cheers,
Graham

Thanks Graham. I was there with the ATC and had a log but my master log was stolen along with the rest of our house stuff in storeage many years ago. This is me getting around to some wishful thinking!
I saw that C-121 a couple of months later at Lossie!
