During a visit to Tinker AFB in May 2001, I remember seeing an A-6,logged as 154162. As it was near the E-6 aircraft, no photos were allowed. Looking at Joe Baughers website, it is listed as preserved at Palm Beach, and only damaged beyond repair at Tinker and not displayed. Other websites has it going to Palm Beach 199?, yet I clearly remember an A-6 at Tinker AFB. Could anyone please help with confirmation.

Preserved A-6 Tinker AFB
Re: Preserved A-6 Tinker AFB
Earliest photo I can find of 154162 A-6 at Palm Springs, CA (not Palm Beach) is 2002.
Can't find any mention of it at Tinker except J.Baugher but maybe it was at Tinker being prepped for display ?

Thanks Jaws, indeed it was Palm Springs not Palm Beach, problems with typing early morning. Must have been a temporary display, so guess I got lucky.
