Military Helicopters at RAF Turnhouse 1988

Post by Unknown74 » Mon Aug 22, 2011 12:37 pm

While playing a little Soccer for the School in an Edinburgh park away back in October 1988 - the date being the 26th of October 1988 I started noticing a steady stream of Army and other UK Military Helicopters Lynxs, Chinooks etc heading in to RAF Turnhouse. Now I thought this may just be one of the usual flying visits for a day but by that following Weekend and a trip out to Turnhouse I started seeing more Lynxs, Pumas and Chinooks as well as other types, anyone have any serial number tie ups for these as they were there for quite some period of time - I seemed to remember something about an exercise or sommit.
