Post by BromF15 » Tue Nov 06, 2012 8:22 pm

Hi, was wondering if anybody has a serial for a Hunter Ive seen on a number of occasions around woodall spar area not far from Thorpe camp..Its in a field near a roadside..It appears to be a green color and theirs bits missing out of the tail area. Ive had a look on the Demobbed website but had no joy in finding it..either that or im blind

Any info would be great

Thanks

I believe it may be composite Hunter T7 - XL578; as detailed in Wrecks & Relics 23!

Jonathan,

Came across this myself last Summer whilst travelling from Lincoln to Coningsby (by a rather tortuous route.......). It's located at Kirkstead on the B1192 and as the previous correspondent said is XL578 but a composite machine including part of XG290.

Hope that helps

Steve
