USAAF C-47 Crash Coombe Down February 1944

Am looking for details of USAAF C-47A Skytrain 42-92052. It crashed at Coombe Down 8th February 1944. Its on a friends farm and he is interested in the history of the aircraft. Have already looked at Joe Baughers and also Aviation Safety Network sites. Any additional information greatly appriatiated.

Then an aircraft with same c/n appears in India
VT-CHF Jupiter Airways 29 oct 1946
Deccan Airways 19 June 1949
Indian Airlines 01 Aug 1953
Crashed Nagpur ? 12 Dec 1953

Seem to be doubt over the true identity of VT-CHF

Official record cards for each aircraft are available. It's a while since I got one but I have an idea it was from the Smithsonian.
