Does anyone have any pictures of RAF quedgeley?
I'v lived in gloucester all my life(23 years of it) and only found today Quedgeley used to be an RAF base.
Would love to find out some more hirstory on it.
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....
RAF Quedgeley
Re: RAF Quedgeley
I did a site survey as a member of the Airfield Research Group just before closure.
Memories include the haunted officers' mess, a tree it was considered bad luck to touch, and the UKADI building, which was shrouded in secrecy. If I can find the ARG Journal from back in the day I'll let you know.
The site was far, far larger than the Kingsway village site.

There was a Meteor T7 (WF784) on the gate for many years. It's now at Staverton.
