SEAKING XZ589 rebuild

Post by 100arw » Sat Feb 13, 2021 9:35 pm

Whilst going for my Covid jab this week in Scarborough, I was very pleased to come across an ex RAF Leconfield SAR Sea King helicopter (XZ589).

It is being rebuilt as a café, with profits going to local charities within the area. More info at: https://www.seakingcafe.co.uk/

Thank you for the link to that web page - interesting to see they have used one of my photographs on the web page.
I have just sent them an email asking for my name to be put alongside it!!
Thank you 100arw
Cheers - Paul.

Update - all sorted now.

I take it that it was the photo of a different Sea King to the one being restored, and which they have now removed the reg from ;-)

Could this have been the frame I noted on 06/10/20 heading northbound on the M1 in the Kilsby area?
