C-17 1/8/11

Seen a military aircraft recently but NOT at one of the bases or airfields listed below? Maybe it flew over the top of you today? Need to tie up the serial? Ask in here. Requests less than 6 months old only please.

Seen just west of Oxford Airport inbound to Brize at 1115 was a C-17. Does anyone know an ID?.

Have you tried asking on the Brize section fella ?

The section guidelines say "If your request is in relation to one of the bases / Stations which has it's own sub-forum - please post there. Thank you."

, however the C-17 was not seen at Brize, it was seen just to the west of Oxford Airport. Besides I do not seem to get any replies when I ask in the Brize section.
