2 f15s Lake District

Post by John flightpath » Thu Jun 30, 2022 10:40 pm

Hi
2 F15's went over Ambleside in the Lakes at 12:05pm on Wed 29th June. Low level. Any tie up would be appreciated.

Thanks
John 'flightpath'.

Don't know if it was them, but 2 returned to LN together at 12:42. From my photos, looks like 01-2003 and 96-0204. I'd not long arrived, so could be no connection at all.

Hi Bucky. Are you saying that those two registrations were what you saw over Buttermere.?

Cheers

I didn't get id's for them, they flew up the valley, and returned a couple of minutes later, within a few minutes of the time you saw them.

From Lakenheath 29/06/2022 movement thread - courtesy of Mike "slogan51"

2x two ship c/s Pyro 21/22 and Loki 41/42 Departed Lakenheath 11am for the Lake ATA:

Pyro 21/22
91-0326
01-2002

Loki 41/42
01-2004
91-0309

15 minutes later two ship c/s Bones 61/62 departed on a Wales high

Bones 61/62
96-0204
01-2003

Not definitive, but perhaps you can eliminate 96-0204 & 01-2003 from this.

I did get the feeling it may have been 2 pairs the first 2 went through heading north and literally a minute or 2 later 2 came through heading south! It did seem rather quick for them to have turned round and headed back through the valley!
