Log and Info Jeddah 9th August.

Post by STN RAMP RAT » Fri Aug 18, 2023 8:01 pm

I passed through Jeddah on the 9th August during daylight and was able to read off most of the contents of the C130 ramp. they can be seen from Gate 37 relatively easily however Gate 37 is in the secure area and access is only possible if you are on a flight departing from gates 36 or 37. I only had Mini bins and a mini camera with a 20x optical zoom with 12.1 MP. At the time the temperature was over 40C, but I was close enough for heat haze not to be a massive problem. The gate area was large enough for me to remain unnoticed but as ever, when looking at military aircraft in the Middle East the greatest of care should be taken. I am a Manchester spotter of a certain age so only need one each of the 4xx and 16xx C130's and therfore concentrated on the HZ-MSx and 11x ones,

Rows are from right to left and each individual row from nearest the hangar to nearest the runway.
