Inside Seoul's Gyeongbokgung Palace, watching the ceremonial changing of the guard, there was a noise of rotors and four AH-64E of the South Korean Army flew directly overhead at low level. Though I had my camera at the ready, taking pictures of the guards, my shots of the Apaches were awful, as they were generally directly overhead - they made four passes in the end. Two I have identified from my shots are 31621 and 31625, whilst I'm 99% sure of 31603.
In the following day's Korea Times it made the front page, with people quoted as saying they thought it was a sign that North Korea had invaded, with the headline "aircraft flyovers in central Seoul cause confusion, fear"! It was in fact a practice for the annual armed forces day on 1 October.
