Vulcan to Cosby, Cholmondeley and Southport.

Post by TomTwin » Sun Sep 09, 2012 10:54 am

Does anyone know the timings for today? And the possible route she will be taking?

Only reason I'm asking is that yesterday, whilst at the Southport Airshow, my mum text me to say two Tonkas had gone over the house, and I presumed to Carfest North at Cholmondeley. So I'm rather hoping I can get even a small glimpse of her from a nearby hill, providing she flies from Carfest over Chester (and not Warrington) to Southport.

kind Regards,

Tom

Take off 14.40 and a flight time og 2hrs 30mins is what the twitter feed is saying, I believe (have been told but not 100%) that Cosby is first port of call.

Cheers for that, much appreciated! :thumb: My Twitter feed on my blackberry wasn't working, would have seen it otherwise! :grr:
I assumed Cosby first as well, makes more sense.

There's a slim chance that after departing Cholmondeley she will overfly Woodford....after that , hopefully , down the Mersey then north up the coast to Southport

Headed over Hawarden, didn't do a pass down the runway as I would have hoped for. Still, at least she is flying and not grounded! :)

Thought Cosby was a full display not just a flypast?
