"no holes barred interview"
Certainly a skilled & probing interview that got to the guts of the matter. Indeed, I'm aware of Colonoscopy investigations that didn't reveal such in-depth details.
But, then again those guys were still 'full of......' ! :O

The pictures are taken on a camera with an auto wind and that is why it jumps and anyone with an ounce of sense would know that.

The subtly of this comment leaves much to be desired. Of course, only my opinion.

Just to resurrect this thread, I was talking to someone today who was on board XH558 at the time of the "incident" and he confirmed to me that they did perform a roll as reported.

What a suave chappie Mr. Falk was.!. I believe he even rolled it with his wife aboard!! How to impress, or what!. Saw a Vulcan roll off the top of a loop on take-off at Farnborough once. Does that date me or what!!! :)

And, sadly, a short-lived breed, pushing boundaries of the unknown in order to increase knowledge.

....and according to urban legend with a glass of water on the coaming. A neatly executed barrel roll shouldn't exceed 1G all the way round. This was also one of Bob Hoover's party tricks in the Shrike Commander.

Bob Hoover didn't only do it with a glass of water. I have seen film of him rolling the 'Shrike' with one hand, whilst pouring liquid out of a teapot into a cub and saucer on the coaming!.  Video'ed his engineless aerobatics etc. at Oshkosh a few times. Amazing man. It was only relatively recently that I discovered that he stole a FW.190 from the Germans during the war, and escaped in in to Holland. Just found it on Utube. Put in UTUBEBOBHOOVER and you will find the teapot demo.. Not an urban legend, but real!.
