D Day Squadron have RIAT down on their proposed itinerary. Doesn’t have anymore info other than it’s on their itinerary

Dansk F-16 has self confirmed. Unfortunately won't be the previously brought red one as that's been WFU.

I wonder if they'll bring a spare this time....

After the non-display of the Dannebrog Schemed F-16 in decent weather at RIAT last Year, I didn't know that jet was scheduled for Retirement.
Thank goodness I bagged some great shots at Radom, without knowing it was my last chance!
They certainly DO need to bring a spare jet & hopefully add some special paint for the F-16 gathering? :thumb:

TBF, the whole fleet is due for disposal soon. Last reported as wanted by the Argies. Shame as they'd be put to better use elsewhere.

So with one of the themes for this year's show being 50th anniversary of the F-16 I wonder if SoloTurk will make an appearance? And maybe the Turkish Stars will tag along after having to sadly cancel last year due to the earthquake?

Does anyone know if the British Army Apache demo team are back for this year?

SoloTurk and the Turkish Stars would be great. Not seen SoloTurk since 2017.

Not sure on Apache, they were working on conversion to the new type last year, hopefully we will see its return this year. A very much missed display.

Grandstand is good. I usually do it Friday and Saturday. No big queues for toilets or food/drink. Elevated view of runway which is good for photos. If you have any big baggage just leave it in the left luggage rather than taking it into the stand with you and having to move it every time someone wants past you.

That's a pity you cannot do FRIAT with your Dad as you both would have loved it but still Sunday showday and Departures will be awesome if the weather plays nice.

Best tip I can give for grandstand is don't get up out your seat when something is flying as people will moan about you being in the way of them trying to take photos.
