F22 potential

Post by jgbenni » Mon Jul 07, 2025 7:52 am

With the F22 raptors still being around and no sign of leaving yet, do we think we might get a late announcement of maybe a flyby or static display?

I know they are on deployment etc so it might not happen but would be very cool if it did.

Whats everyones thoughts?

No-one knows (or at least no-one who would be able to confirm either way) so it seems pointless to speculate.

This is speculation and theory, if it bothers you, don't read this post.

There was rumours that one of the pilots had been the F-22 demo pilot previously. If he were to display, I assume he would have to get PDA.

Therefore, if he goes up for a PDA a week or two before, it all but guarantees an F-22 RIAT display?

Surely if he's a previous demo pilot and thus not current then he is not authorised as a USAF demo pilot.

That's only come about because one of the airframes was the 2017 RIAT display jet.

We already have a RIAT discussion thread running I'm not sure why you've started another!
