Saw this report about the Swiss Patrouille Suisse, Still possible they may attend RIAT before they are retired.

Bavarian Tigers (TLG-74 Neuburg) confirmed RIAT at their display schedule for 2024. So the German Typhoon demo will be a nice addition

Where did you see this?
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
German Eurofighter self confirmed last year, only to change their minds a few weeks later and say static only. Take with a pinch of salt!

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
I've been looking too and cannot see anything anyplace so a link would be nice.
I did find a link to the German NH90 schedule on Flightline UK with RIAT on it.
https://www.air-shows.org.uk/2024/03/ai ... ates-2024/
But nothing about the German Typhoon would love it if it did display at RIAT.

Thanks, I did sign up and saw it however all it shows is a JPEG with dates and locations. It could have been made by anyone, there was no actual links, logo or source. For reference this is it

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
It’s an internal message to the members of Bavarian Tigers, which was then published/leaked at Flugzeugforum.jasonT1981 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 4:53 pmThanks, I did sign up and saw it however all it shows is a JPEG with dates and locations. On a darker note, if the A-10 demo team doesn't appear this year, (nice big gap in the calendar) then they never will again-according to their FB page, 2024 will be the last season.
Better than the 'that was it' from the Belgians at least.

If memory serves me correct did they not self confirm a few years back for one of the cancelled covid years show?

Last year or the year before. IIRC they released the schedule at the start of the year showing RIAT but never confirmed with DBH, then later stated they would not be attending.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
USAF ACC and USAFE have been present at the past couple of European Airshow Conventions and updated organisers on their planning processes and requirements. They have stated that for Europe they can only support F-35 and F-16 demos (which are based in Europe) unless there is a planned deployment of the A-10C and F-22 (with airframes and crew available to take aircraft to a show location) or US DoD requires the team to be in Europe.
You also need to remember that hosting any USAF demo team is now quite onerous on the European Event Organisers with both operational and domestic requirements - they work in a very different way to many of the European solo display teams. For instance, the F-35 appearances during the 2023 Display Season in Europe were far fewer than initial plans suggested as various events simply couldn't make all of the requirements or Lakenheath was unable to provide support.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
Starting this week with the return of a popular flying display, from NATO's newest member! The Swedish Air Force will return to RIAT with their SAAB JAS-39C Gripen to perform in the flying display, and in addition they'll bring a JAS-39D Gripen for the static display.
Another returning aircraft will be the NH90 TTH of the German Army, appearing in both the flying and static displays, as part of our NATO 75th Anniversary theme. Their NH90 has been a popular display item for the last two years with it's attractive camofluage livery, so we're pleased to be welcoming them back to RAF Fairford this summer.
A rare addition to the static displays comes in the form of a Bréguet Alizé. Now operated in civilian hands, the type flew with the French Navy for many years in the anti-submarine warfare role. This will be the first time we've seen an Alizé at RIAT in over 20 years, and the plan is that the aircraft will arrive on Friday afternoon, then be on static display over the weekend as part of our NATO 75th Anniversary theme.
This week, a team from RIAT has been attending the pre-season Flying Display Symposium, hosted by the MAA & CAA. A number of topics were discussed, focused on Flight Safety, and we got the chance to catch-up with a number of squadrons/displays teams from the British Military who will be coming to RIAT in July.
Finally this week, sadly Bristow Helicopters have informed us that they'll no longer be able to send their AW189 to RIAT this year, but still plan to participate with their two other helicopters.

Not a bad update today, Gripen is always a good display and the Alize for static is brilliant, Sadly the talks have ended with Malaysia knew it was too good to be true.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
The Bréguet Alizé is a fantastic addition. Don’t think I’ve seen one since the old Air Fete days back in the early 90s
