I'm sorry but then why have a Monday at all, we all have families to get home to. They won't be displaying early Monday morning (fully aware of support staff that go with them too!) so why not the extra 12-16 hours at Fairford.[/quote]

The Red Arrows have every right to plan a return to Scampton on Sunday. The pilots and support staff will have been away from home for three nights, indeed any addition support staff will be faced with the four + drive home, remember no RAF Hercules support these days. When the aircraft arrive at Scampton they will require inspection and service, so some of the guys might even pull a night shift. I know people will say 'its all part of the job' but give these guys a break, after all whats the big deal with seeing them depart on Monday anyway ? I expect RIAT will be glad to see them go on Sunday, not only does it free up ramp space and departure slots but saves over night accomodation cost.

I doubt it as hangar space is used for airshow aircraft!

hangar space has very rarely been used for airshow aircraft. It has only been used in the past for aircraft such as the F22 and last year the B2, aircraft that for security reasons had to bit put away at night. Its alao been used dor maintainance in the past too, such as the construction of the Columbian T90 last year, which generally leaves it pretty much empty for the show

Little bit confused as to what this is supposed to mean. Its quite likely, that they will be seen on the park and view days, as if this is a normal rotation, they will depart aroundThursday

My guess is (unless delayed) it will depart before any of us have even got out of bed Wed/Thur. Lets hope I'm completely wrong :thumb:

Its also important to note that as of tomorrow, the airfield switches to civilian mode, and the U2 departure isn't exactly "normal" and whether or not it could depart under a civvy tower is questionable
