As folk are asking about thoughts on RIAT, I thought I'd ask those of you/ us who stopped at Kempsford for your thoughts.
On the negative side :- The cost of food !! , I mean £7.00 for a plate of Curry and rice is a bit steep!, and the Saturday night band , what the hell was that all about??
We (An age range of teenage 50 odd year olds, down to twenty something funsters, all left in a state of bemusement after half an hour of ?? I can't think of a word to successfully describe it with out being rude!! Where's the entertainment in listening to a bloke in a dress screaming songs at you ?? old classics such as "Whisky in the jar" and"A message to you Rudy" (The latter still heard at daft decibels from the far side of the campsite!) did not have a penny whistle played throughout them , and certainly not to the same tune both times!!
And lastly , the showers , did anybody get a warm one ?? no matter when any of us went, they were freezing!!
On the plus side :- It didn't rain heavily enough to churn up the fields , the choice of real ales / ciders was excellent, the company was great, (Although I do appogise to Tom for breaking his chair!!) And was it me or where there a lot less ignoramus's with generators blaring out till 3 o'clock in the morning this year??
