Help for Saturday please.
Required Saturday 20/7/19
Required the Red Arrows Hawks that flew in the flypast with the 747 (including the photo ship) and their display. Also were the PDF Alphajets the same aircraft that flew in their display in the morning?.
Also can anyone confirm the identity of the RAF Chinook parked near to the Frecce Tricolori?. The official check list has 2 listed as north side.
Many thanks
Kevin

Re: Required Saturday 20/7/19
I musf say i only saw 1 Chinook when there was 2 on the checklist. Am i right in thinking that the one visible throughtout the day was the one that went tech before it had a chance to display?. If so which one was it please.
Re: Required Saturday 20/7/19
I saw a chinook bro towed out of a hangar towards the north apron. I read ZA708 on that one, haven't another one.
Re: Required Saturday 20/7/19
According to Threshold's checklist (the best one available), there were 2 Chinooks available for the flying display :- https://threshold.aero/RIAT_19_live_arrivals
Reds and PdF are also listed there.

I have a picture which tends to suggest that a second Chinook was parked behind the one at the end of the row of the PDF and Frecce but obscured from view by the line up of aircraft.
Unfortunately, I have no idea of which was which.

Re: Help for Saturday please.
Hi Kevin. This is the second time I have tried to reply to you so here’s hoping.
The Reds that displayed were :
XX323/177/244/232/242/319/322/219/245. They were joined by XX188 as the photo ship for the flypast with the 747. This is usually Red 10.
There is an error on the show checklist regarding the PDF. Alpha Jet F-UHRR (2) is 146 and not 144 as listed.
Their display aircraft were:
E44 (1). E146 (2). E139 (3). E20 (4). E129 (6). E46 (7).
E113 (8) E87 (9).
F-TETD (8) had a problem and had to land on before the display was completed. This creates a problem. I do not know if 8 was repaired in time for the Concord(e) display with the Reds or one of the spares took it’s place. I have a picture of the dual formation which is partly obscured with multi-coloured smoke and I think I see a jet with 5 on it’s tail but I cannot say for certain.
Incidentally, with the PDF flying the second Chinook was visible behind where they would have been when parked on the ramp.
Cheers Dave Robison.

Re: Help for Saturday please.
I was talking to someone in the FRIAT enclosure on Monday who said a second Spanish Citation came in. Is that the case? Also anyone got a serial or photo of the A319 that came in on Monday? Went to the loo and missed it! Thanks.
Re: Help for Saturday please.
U.20-2 arrived again on Sunday, departing Monday.
The A319 was Hungarian Air Force, 604.

Re: Help for Saturday please.
The Alpha Jets from the French AF on the Saturday with the Reds were numbers 1 to 8 inclusive, confirmed from my pictures.
Re: Help for Saturday please.
Anyone for the 2 Reds during the second of their shows on saturday.
It was after the flypasts with the PdF.
two Reds flew straight to eachother just passing eachother.
After those two others did the same and went up when passing eachother, these two are required (or at least the one flying right to left).
