Most of those, in my opinion, are worthy winners, especially the harrier and the EF-2000 scheme. However, I feel like the Viper demo should have won either Best Solo Jet or Best Individual Flying Demonstration, especially as you can't deny he gave everything, if not more, that that aircraft could give! It was a very exciting and full on display from the Saab (almost reminded me of the pace of the Couteau Delta), but perhaps not the best overall? Finally, the UK Demonstration, should've been the Typhoon as it's a display I've seem 30+ times and was arguably the best I've seen it.

Not so sure about the Gripen but the rest are spot on in my opinion

Feel The Mig21 should Have Received some award despite it age and clear lack of agility compared to more modern types its display was still Awesome.

Agree with that, I thought the Swiss F-18 was good and deserved an award. All subjective I suppose.

Personally thought the Viper Demo on the Saturday was not the greatest. Departure was the best bit, but 90% was far out and it was just fast passes with a few rolls chucked here and there, wasn't impressed. Finnish F-18 was the best, much better than the Viper.

Massively agree! Perhaps it was because the light was great and it was early in the day, but I personally preferred the Swiss display to the Finnish.

We perhaps take it for granted but Typhoon was easily best display Saturday with Belgian F-16 Close second. There were many great performances in what turned out to be a good show especially with so many nice special schemes and flypasts.

How are the awards scored, if the participants are flying two or three days over the weekend are scores given for all performances and then perhaps an average score is worked out or is just for one particular performance?

I preferred RDAF Viper E-191 for the best paint scheme

Was that the red scheme in static?

I only saw it on departures but it was basically dressed in a Danish flag.

The Luftwaffe EF2000 always look great (plus I like to Google the face on the tail) but for me it was the suprise of seeing a red F-16 blasting out.

I agree with most of the awards but the UK Typhoon should have won best UK act even though I love the Reds the Typhoon was better imo.

I'm surprised at that James (not a criticism - it's all subjective). I was most impressed with the RAF Typhoon display. It's the first time I've seen it this year, and found it much more dynamic than ever before. Sure, previous years have been very polished, as all RAF displays are, but this year it really seemed to be thrown around a lot more, with the afterburner lit for most of the display. I thought it was a match for any of the other fast jet displays at RIAT, something I've never thought before. As for the awards, I think they're all well deserved, although I maybe would have chosen the Swiss F/A-18 over the Swedish Gripen.
