RIAT 2020 Cancelled

Post by jasonT1981 » Wed Sep 25, 2019 1:16 pm

Tickets for RIAT have gone on sale :) Bit of a change though this year, you won't get e-tickets until 2 weeks before the show.

Referring to the price, not the tickets. They haven't said early bird etc this year. So the limited quantities means at the early bird pricing of £54

My sceptical nature leads me to believe that the Marketing Team at DBH. actually choose their presentation wording to facilitate erroneous forwarding of the factual contents!
For example the text in question actually reads.... "Saturday £54 (limited availability at this price) - Full Price £59" but is easily misread & misreported. Rest easy my little panic-stricken punters! :D
I don't think anybody is gonna have a heart-attack over £5....but no tickets left!! :'(

:P

I agree £5 is nothing almost the price of a pint of Peroni- having been the last three years, think I'll wait till the participants start being released until I book- been Fri, Sat, Sat, so may give it a go on Sunday next year for a change.

Happy Days

In total, including enclosures I ended up paying around £6 more than last year. Not too bad given the price of flights, hotels and trains to also factor in.

When do the first participants tend to get announced, mid-January?

The usual suspect your can pencil in already. Swiss have been first to be added last few years in mid January

Occasionally there is announcements before Xmas but they've never been successful and always seem to cancel  Romanians early 2010s come to mind.

Negative for the F35 demo, viper demo, A10 demo and Canadian CF18 demo also.

However the F35 has nothin in the calendar for the last few weeks in July so we may get a late addition.

I maybe in a minority, but I would prefer the F35 Demo over the F22.

I’ve never seen the F22 but the F35 does look like a dynamic display, although I wouldn’t be fussy at either.

Some of the comments on social media on the USAF demo team pages regarding no UK shows are just embarrassing. People need to get a grip and lose their attitude they entitled to get something every year
