RIAT2020.
It should be ok, hopefully, but if the Coronavirus is still with us,will the show be cancelled. If it is I wonder would RIAT refund the tickets?

Re: impossible question
Well hopefully maybe things will be back to normal by then; but...............
But if they cancel the show, then yes they'd have to refund you - just as they did in the cancelled show 10 or so years ago.

Re: impossible question
I wonder? They certainly refunded FRIAT members a significant part of the package price in 2008 and I understand that it was funded through event insurance. However given that many travel insurance companies are saying cover does not apply to covid-19 implications I wonder if the same might be applicable to event insurance. The Phantom wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 7:01 pmWell hopefully maybe things will be back to normal by then; but...............

Re: impossible question
If I'm correct that was the year where all the grass areas were like a swamp, and did they not change the rules on the back of the tickets afterwards to close that loophole!.
Re: impossible question
Here's what the BBC had to say about event ticket refund eligibility the other day:

Re: impossible question
Surely it'll be treated by the insurance company as an 'Act of God' and therefore will not be covered?
This season, I'll be mostly wearing........A THONG!

Re: impossible question
Act of God exclusion?
It is well worth looking at your policy. If an event is not specifically excluded then you should make a claim. Lightning and flooding are covered and now instead of being an act of God they are considered as just weather ( ditto for earthquakes) and therefore you are insured unless specifically excluded.

Re: impossible question
Reference the insurance & 'Act of God' clause, will they pay-out for my tickets / travel given that I'm a dyslexic, atheist agnostic that doesn't believe there is a dog!

Re: impossible question
Agreed although faith can be rekindled especially when sat in an airliner at the end of a short and hot holiday island runway or indeed in turbulence!

JET 2 suspended their flights to Spain today and turned back some jets already in the air.Got to feel sorry for those already up and thinking they were on their way only to turn round and arrive back in the UK

Looking now like the Government is to ban large public gatherings... surely this will include airshows... so how long now before DBH... make an announcement?

Re: impossible question
Reach1 I am concerned , I have chest trouble, my elderly mother has had pneumonia and 2 collapsed lungs , we are also isolating , ,we are well at the mo, but not taking any chances . I was just saying I'm fed up of being worried with them telling us how many people are likely to die and be prepared on losing loved ones sooner than expected! I mean we all know how serious it is , we don't need reminding
