FRIAT 2022 Price increase
Re: FRIAT 2022 Price increase
For me the issue is the seeming lack of balance in price rises or not between different balance sheet headings.
One justification on UKAR is the rise in prices from contractors supplying the stand, marquee and trackways within the FRIAT enclosure is the reason for the FRIAT surcharge.
But these increased costs will also be borne by car parking, viewing village, craft marquee.

iain,
Have you seen the line up for this year's Sanicole air show? French Rafale Pair, Hellenic F-16, Belgian F-16, Polish F-16, Finnish Hornet, the Red Arrows, Red Devils and, as the saying goes, many more. Only problem is tickets are limited to about 7,500 a day. Not bad for a civilian attempt. If RIAT can't at least match that next year, it won't be for anything to do with Covid-19.

Re: FRIAT 2022 Price increase
Yep there's a word for that, "inflation" (aka "cost of living"), oh and by the way it happens every year its not unique for 2021. It's generally why working people look for pay-rises each year to cover the "cost of living (inflation)" increases.
I seem to remember this being a thing since I was a kid...
