Next month, the Air Force plans to disassemble nine T-50B jets, including a spare, and transport them to Britain by air.
To Manchester inside 3(?) x An-124's and then taken by road to Leeming for assembly, just like 2012? Or can they find an easier way of doing it?

Southport........ Bluddy Hell!!
I thought the same. They've had 4 RAF confirmations and gone quiet. Thought they had given up organising it.

In 2012 they used Korean Air Cargo B747s to ship them over , I wonder if Warton could be used for assembly hence the Southport Show, great news for Southport, Riat and the UK spotting/Photography enthusiasts and those who simply like to watch

Hopefully the 9th jet will be a grey this time as part of the sales pitch further down the tour

Thanks for confirming that it was Korean 747's that transported them. :thumb:

Yeah, Sally B was actually on the very first RIAT weekly update in Feb
24 February 2022

We can also confirm the first aircraft which will form part of our unique static display which will celebrate the United States Air Force's 75th Anniversary, with iconic American warbirds parked alongside their modern-day counterparts. Both B-17G Flying Fortress "Sally B" and P-47D Thunderbolt "Nellie" will form part of this static display at RIAT 2022.

Excellent news, the Korean Black Eagles aerobatic team has self confirmed at RIAT as part of their world tour. Let's just wait for the confirmation - funny thing is that there is nothing to say that they have even entered talks i.e. the flashing yellow light

Hungarian Gripen has released its official updated schedule and still has RIAT on it.

I know we have known about it for a few weeks but after the Cosford cancellation a few people got a bit skeptical about RIAT.

Did the Reds not do a joint flypast in 2017 with the Thunderbirds that was Friday only?

Guess that's the chance you take depending on which day you go on.

I’m still hoping to one day see the F117A make a return. Now they are being flown openly as aggressors on exercises in the US.

I’d seen a rumour that Poland are displaying the Mig-29 this year so that’s a disappointment that they declined.
