Don't forget ( and photographers will already know this) to take a < 70mm lens or 50mm on full frame as the flight line taxiway is close for anything longer

I just had my standard 70-300 on a crop sensor and it was too much for the Greek F-16 side on for example

A great show with the static well placed for photos, especially the E-4B :-)

The Sea King and the Wessex have also left. They both departed as I was walking back to camp just after the M-346.

67ARRS, the Avanti was parked north side beyond the Red Arrows. Not easy to see.

Great show this year, my only complaint is that the map they hand out, and the maps around the airfield don't seem to show the free water stations - which would've been handy to know. By the time I found one, I'd already paid for some.

Maverick himself was there today!!!
Nevermind Maverick, Charlie Duke, Apollo 16 Lunar Module pilot was there with Tim Peak - real superstars

When I take a step back its mind-boggling a man I saw on Saturday spoke to Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin as they descended to the moon as Capcom, then went on to fly Apollo 16 to the moon.

Does anyone know who won what at the awards after Sundays show?

And does anyone know why the Austrian Typhoon display was cut short on Sunday?

I heard the pilot say he had a fault and needed to reset something but I did not catch what he said fully, I think he was having some trouble today too as both taxied down the runway then went to North side of runway for a bit then only 1 Typhoon left, Not sure if other 1nleft later as I left departures around 2pm and it was still there.

Both Austrian tphoons left today, but as you mentioned at different times with one jet still having issues. As for awards chinook won best UK flying demonstration, black eagles won the best overall flying demonstration, Irish pc12 won best static aircraft, Belgian f16 dream viper won best livery and the Jordanian c130 won something too. I don't know the others.

Agree about the water stations. They could also try to get a smaller dispenser, as they must have lost quite a bit to wastage.

They must have announced the water bowser locations a hundred times on the p.a system during the Saturday show. And I would imagine the site maps given out at the show were printed long before the weather extremes were known about

They kept on saying at the service stations but they were also dotted around the show ground. Not everyone was near to a service station, and knowing where the nearest was located would have been useful if you were at either end of the display line.

Kinda thought the Black Eagles would win even before RIAT had started

Thanks for letting me know who won what and about the Typhoon. :thumb:

I wonder what the problem was with the Typhoon?

I wonder at what point the organisers will be expected to remind people to breath
