I'm not thinking that at all, I'm thinking what I would have given for this line up last year, or the year before.

It made me think the £10 discount they were offering.... Was it really inflation or was it the lack of ticket sales given the current line up

That's exactly what it is. Ok. Better than no air show. But only just. Besides it's more of a static show than an air show. And no matter what, still not worth the ticket cost so far. There is no way anyone can say this is bigger and better than previous years

Not one single person has said that its bigger and better than previous years. You get yourself more and more wound up by the weeks to the point that you're imagining things.

If I was you I'd give it a miss, its not worth it 👍

Is there another airshow, anywhere in the world, that can boast flying displays from 2x F16, 2x F18, 2x Gripen, 2x Typhoon i.e 8x afterburning fast jet displays - plus Helicopters, trainers, transports etc over 7+ hours with potentially more still to come? You pay your money and take your choice. I know where I'll be mid July.

I'm not sure they see them much at Marham either.

RAF F35 doesn't have a worked up demo. Cosford announced one today for flypasts, and RIAT had one in 2019 which was a late announcement.

I would expect the RAF F35 will fly at RIAT, something similar to 2019, a series of flypasts and a hover. RIAT have already said the flypasts etc will be announced closer to the show.

I know they dont have a demo f35 but put one on static. I bet the 48th will have one at Riat.

Nope I am not thinking that all, Might be better if you say what you are thinking and not what others are thinking

Diabolical update? A UK debut act a maritime patrol aircraft from Oman and more added to the static including a P-51 Mustang from Germany seems alright to me.

Still 7 updates to go before the week of RIAT and according to RIAT website they are still in discussions with 19 different air arms so I am sure they will be plenty to be announced in the coming weeks.

For anyone who is interested in aircraft Riat is the highlight of the calendar. Can you imagine what it would be like without it. As to the cost i still think its great value for money. Once a year the biggest airshow in the world !

You have every right to state state your opinion to your heart's content. What has got people's backs up is that you said that it was everybody's opinion! Well, it's certainly not mine! I'm happy that we're getting a show, and I'm happy with what we're going to get for the money. :P

Every one has a right to their opinion. This is an open debate forum. If someone thinks something's not good they should be able to freely say it and likewise if hey think it's great.
None of us should ever be afraid of having an opinion that goes against the majority. Let's all continue to tolerate opposite opinions. This forum over the years has boasted great standards. I'm confident this will continue. I've really enjoyed reading and contributing. Long may it continue.

I really can't imagine we will ever see an F35 in the Static display, for the same reason you'd not get an F22 in the static.

I think from memory there were two put in the static for a while in 2016.
Cheers

Whats that reason? The F-35 has been on static display all over the world, multiple shows in the USA, multiple events in Europe such as RIAT, Berlin, Paris, Zeltweg, Kleine Brogel. Even at events as far a field as Singapore.
