Erm......this thread is about RIAT and those jets have never been to Fairford!
2007.

Edit.... ignore my post. Thought the conversation was regarding the SU-30's.

Managed to free up the weekend of RIAT and managed to get tickets for the Sunday ......Yippee. Can someone advise me on enclosures. I've only bought a general admission ticket (with Parking), does that get me into the general viewing area? Is it worth considering upgrading to one of the enclosures? Thanks in advance.

We should be grateful they sending anything at all, Far too many people moaning about what's not coming or what Countries have sent X&Y but not Z.

After 3 years with no airshows I am just happy that there is one to go to again.

We should be happy with what DBH have managed to achieve so far this year and if it all pulls off then it will be a great arrivals, airshow and departures.

There are some great aircraft already announced and some real gems both on static and in the flying display.

Aren't the Qatari hawks currently in the UK?

Makes sense they would send an aircraft already here, rather than task an aircraft to fly 4500 miles.

Is that campsite still there in the east side, just off the main whelford road?
I guess would be a good viewing spot aswell, as i normally go to totterdown farm, so not sure what will be best

Any ideas?

Easy since they are based at RAF Leeming. Just to reiterate, be grateful for anything rather than moan about wanting more - especially as a first-timer. Just enjoy it.

For a surprising number of people RIAT is the only aviation in the country.
