Don't think there will be any special schemes outside the already existing 'blackjack'

though I am guessing the semi-confirmed Typhoon/Spitfire syncro pair display might have one like in 2015.

As much as I do like to see interesting paint schemes I for one liked the RAF 100 theme spread across so much of their fleet. It was a relatively cheap and very effective way of ensuring that serving RAF personnel felt part of the celebrations. In that context I would be okay with Jubilee stickers.

I am glad you and others liked it, but to me it was a **** poor effort when you look at any other Air Force’s around the world. Funds may be tight in most of Europe as well but plenty of specials to be seen, which hopefully some will make it to RIAT.

Also a political statement from the RAF saying this is all we can afford to do!

The budget was £8 million so the only statement it made was how the RAF can misspend their budget.

I think you will find it is the MOD that do the misspending.

Interesting. Are you saying the MoD told the RAF command how they would distribute the £8 million budget for RAF100 including the flower party? Was it an RAF officer seconded to the MoD or perhaps an Army or Navy officer that had their hands on the budget (a deliberate act of sabotage)? You seem to have some knowledge; please explain the decision making process, I'd like to understand.

Afternoon,

If I seem to recall the RAF Puma, specially marked for NTM 2018, had to approach the AAC side to get the funds rather than the RAF who had no interest what so ever in getting some Tiger Spirit. And what a scheme it was as well and very much appreciated.

Rob
