Re: RIAT 2022 Participants
Thanks - that Threshold list is perfect!
Re: RIAT 2022 Participants
Just a quickie about the Puma on static, I'm having trouble reading my scrawled notes and am unable to see it on my checklist.
I have it as coded either 'P' or more likely 'R'. If anyone could confirm which it would be appreciated.

Re: RIAT 2022 Participants
XW237 is usually coded 'R'.
This season, I'll be mostly wearing........A THONG!
Re: RIAT 2022 Participants
A quick response.
I thought it probably was an R , + I didn't photograph it (saving my film) so it's nice to get it confirmed.
Thank you.

Not sure what checklist you're using but it's here albeit without the code https://threshold.aero/riat_22_checklist

Definitely R.
By the way Threshold lists a Grob Viking TX.1 cockpit - does anyone know exactly where it was?

Re: RIAT 2022 Participants
I was looking at the Threshold list. I had the serial O.K. but the code was a bit of a squiggle.
From when I was a youngster first starting this hobby/obsession I was always told by the older guys at the time (sadly most have passed on ) to "never assume, always check 'em boys".
Thanks for your help again.

There was one in the air cadet(?) tent near to the one on static display, you could see it walking past. It was all white and didn't have any sort of instrument panel in though so I just discarded it as a mock-up personally!fatherfaff wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 1:46 pmDefinitely R.

Re: RIAT 2022 Participants
There were actually 2 x glider cockpit simulator sections. I’ve no idea whether both were actually from ‘real’ aircraft.
One was located in the STEM exhibition tent by area blue (the one with the Bulldog parked outside)
The other was as described by POL, located in the Air Cadets tent which was part of the RAF village down close to where the Black Eagles were parked

Re: RIAT 2022 Participants
Hi all,
Last year I was one of the crews with the RNLAF 312 Sqn, and noted some aircraft while we build up our stand etc etc. But can't find anymore when I saw which aircraft... As the treshold page doesn't work for me. All aircraft were be seen before the monday, as we left right after our jets.
- Italian C-130
- Spanish C560
- Polish C295M
- Spanish C295M
- Italian P180
Thanks in advance!
Jordy

Hi Jordy,
Looking at my notes and checking against a list Threshold.aero did, I believe the aircraft are:
- Italian C-130 14/7 MM62177/46-43
- Spanish C560 14/7 TR.20-01/403-11
- Polish C295M 14/7 021
- Spanish C295M 14/7 T.21-01/35-01
- Italian P180 arr 13/7, departed Monday MM62161 (I think from memory that this remained Northside all weekend)
Hope this helps.
