Is the code of the TBM confirmed with its serial? Just checked my log from Mont de Marsan last year, and there this TBM had code BZ. And photoproof.
Do these codes change?
Yes, if the aircraft is transferred to another unit.
I disagree, the two letter code is the last two letters of the aircrafts radio callsign, in this case F-RAXG for TBM700 No94, c/n94. Its very rare that that is changed.

Yes, if the aircraft is transferred to another unit.
That’s normal, but in this case it surprises me, as the code is also part of the civilian reg. So this aircraft changed from F-MABZ to F-RAXG.
Interesting, for me at least

As far as I am aware it used to be 94/F-RAXG with the French Air Force, it then transferred to ALAT around January 2007 and became 94/F-MABZ, it has now reverted back to French Air Force and is now 94/F-RAXG again.

Can anyone confirm the north side T-346 are as per the threshold site

MM55214/61-07 Leonardo T-346A Master 61° Stormo 212° Gruppo Volo
MM55213/61-06

I heard there was a mistake on one of the serials but I couldn't read any of the M/T-346 due to the distance. Even the one in static was an impossible angle!

Thanks

For anyone who didn’t know, yesterday’s low passes by the Luftwaffe Tornado was a ‘calibration’ set, one pass at 500ft, one at 300ft, and one at 100ft to allow the FCC to ‘get their eyes in’.
Thanks for that Mike, I wondered what those calibration runs were for.

That makes sense because the current code allocations for the EAAT unit (French Army) that operates the TBM-700s are

99/ABO
100/ABP
115/ABQ
136/ABR
139/ABS
156/ABT
159/ABU
160/ABV

I assume these are radio callsigns F-MABO - MABV, so it seems feasible that F-MABZ could have been a part of this at some point (and potentially F-MABW/X/Y too?)

Not being presumptuous here the KAF Eurofighter Typhoon CSX55274 c/n KT006 according to a database CSX55274 doesn't tally up but with a check other ID shows CXS55248 same aircraft different reg code so which is correct the one it's carrying at the Tattoo or the database not going to cause any arguments with this just curious

From MAR 2/2007

"4 TBM.700s were transferred to the ALAT to replace the two Ce F406s that were wfu in December: 35/ABW, 70/ABX, 80/ABY, 94/ABZ."

Just for reference from MAR 4/2007, I believe this system is still in place.

F-MAAA to F-MIZZ ALAT

F-RAAA to F-RZZZ AA
F-SAAA to F-SZZZ AA

PCR1965,

I've seen the following reported so far;

KT001- CSX55243, to MT55243, ferried from Caselle to Al Salem AB Dec 2021
KT002 - CSX55244, to MT55244, ferried from Caselle to Al Salem AB Dec 2021
KT003 - CSX55269. Currently at Turin-Caselle.
KT004 - CSX55246. Currently at Turin-Caselle.
KT005 - CSX55273. Currently at Turin-Caselle. Reported to be allocated Kuwaiti serial 905 (but whether that means the others become 901-904 in order remains to be seen!)
KT006 - CSX55274, which is the one currently at Fairford. As far as I am aware it flew in from Caselle too? Where did you see reference to CSX55248, I can't find mention of that serial so far? As you can see from the rest of the list, the "CSX" serials don't run in any real kind of order!

Can anyone confirm if Saab T-17 Supporter T-411 or T-426 flew in Saturday's display?. Threshold. aero checklist has T-426 and the checklist on MSF has T-411. The other 5 aircraft are the same on both checklists. Many thanks

Quoted by sSramble as
MM55248 Typhoon T KT006 to Kuwait Mil as ... CSX55248

and as a result taken up by various spotting data bases, (Freebird included)

your summary makes far more sense
