The Koreans and Austrians for me... I found both displays brought something very different to RIAT.
Great to watch and very entertaining.
Well done to both.

Definitely the Korean's followed by the Austrians. I enjoyed both displays. The second part of the QRA demo was very Top Gun .

Apparently the last time the silver swallows displayed was in 1998!

Austrian QRA, Spanish Hornet and the Greek F-16 for me. I really enjoyed the Hungarian Hind as well, it looked so menacing in the dark paint.

It’s taken them that long to travel between shows…

For me it was the Lightning, I’ve seen harriers in the past but my son was amazed to see a jet hovering describing it as “space aged” and of course the South Koreans

Swiss Hornet and Black Eagles for me. No point in comparing any of the helicopters really as none are a patch on the Chinook, and none can match the Apache role demo. But just seeing the Hinds in the air again was enough for me.
Can't comment on the Austrians as a 'tech issue' curtailed the second half of that.

Austrian QRA was not only my favourite display of RIAT 2022 but quite possibly the best display I have ever seen anywhere. Absolutely phenomenal.

For me it was…
1) Austrian QRA and demo
2) Czech Hind and Hip
3) Czech W-3 Sokół
Best team display for me was the Black Eagles
Best fly past was the Beluga

The Austrian QRA demo stood out from everything else for me.
Best display team was easily The Black Eagles.

The simulated air combat bit at the end of the Austrian QRA was fun, not so much for its fidelity but more its dynamism.
The French Mustang X-Ray display was excellent too.
+1 for everything else listed here, plus everything which wasn't.

It wasn't a display, it was always to be just 2 fly pasts. But as it was at Cosford the initial fly past without burners is a massive waste.
