As one of the topics is 35years of AEW, maybe we'll see at least one IL76 AEW (an Indian AF one?)

An Isreali AF G550AEW would be nice too

Latest bit of news to appear on the Waddington website.

Military Air Shows Meeting - 02 December 2009
We have just concluded a meeting with the organisers of the Cosford, Leuchars and Yeovilton Air Shows to explore how we can act jointly to attract and present the best Air Shows possible. We had a great exchange of views and ideas and we hope that this will help us all produce exciting and dynamic spectacles for all our customers. We are hopefull that the frank discussions will help us all to attract the very best displays available both from the aviation community and the ground entertainment industry.

Thanks

i dont beg that often but pleeeeeeeeze someone get me a tornado display, the last one i saw was at reds at home day about 2 yr ago, i was trying to video it and all you can hear on camera was screams of laughter as i just had to drop it to put my fingers in my ears as he swooped very low and very fast on full burners straight over our heads. he along with an f16, harrier and typhoon made a great days spotting.

What's that based on? No other UK airshow has really announced any participation yet, aside from the Romanian MiG-21s at RIAT!

It's based upon behind-the-scenes discussions with the organising team - if everything comes off, it will be the best Waddington yet. However, as we know things never quite turn out the way people hope, but it's not for the lack of trying. The dilemma is do they publicise everything they're chasing then only deliver some of it, or announce it once confirmed - the latter course is chosen so that hopes aren't dashed at a late stage. At least the website gives a small hint of some of what they're trying to achieve!

Sounds good! We've seen some quality line-ups at Waddington over the years so for this to possibly be the best Waddo yet means there could be some really great stuff. Let's hope they pull off a cracking show!

Well the plan to have a recreation of the Battle of Britain is something not to be missed, if it goes ahead!

Also already having the Griphen and L-159 ALCA displaying there are signs of improvents in the line-up and booking aircraft early one so hopefuly Waddington can book some more great aircraft before the belgium airshow does . Like the F-18, Rafael, B-52 and maybe an F-22 ready for RIAT and Farnborough airshows.

If Waddo is going to be pulling off what they are planning then i say that it will be another record crowed this year!! (weather permiting) So at this moment in time and with like 5 months to go  ... Im planning to get there quite early this year on the show day as it was nearly full at 8am last year :D.

Re: the 757, any idea on the operator of this aircraft?

Nice looking list for so early on in the year. Plenty of war birds there to keep me happy.

Great update :) Hope the RNZAF 757 does make it across. Think it was one of the highlights of RIAT last year :thumb:

Hopefully it will be a good one this year, inevitably I guess there will be a couple of dissapointments.
