Provisional attendance depending on the outcome of the bid for funding to cover the air freighting over. Lets hope it goes better than last time!

So the F22 is confirmed for RIAT, but not for FIA.
Interesting to note a gap in the schedule where Farnborough sits though?

F-22 won't be at FIA, I've never known the ACC to update their schedule unless the show is cancelled.

Be surprised if the RAF don't chuck a Hawk T2 or a Eurofighter down there.

Farnborough are having media day next week, so I expect announcements off the back of that.

Going on now.
Was supposed to be a display by a stunt plane, which looks like it was cancelled due to rain, lets hope that's not an omen for the show.

There is not a 'stunt plane' on the presumed attendance list.

Profuse apologies for not using the correct terminology. I meant an "Aerobatic Aircraft", but I assumed that most people would know that. I am of course referring to the Pitts Special.

There was one due to display for Media Day, as per Richard Goodwin's tweet this morning, but it sounds like rain may have stopped play, if that expression does not cause offence.

Good afternoon

Can anyone point to lists of likely airborne displays on Friday 15th ("FAB Friday") - especially as compared with Sunday 17th (can't go on Sat 16th) as I am trying to make up my mind as to which day to book for?

PS: if anyone who is not local to the area wants to know a back way in to avoid the queues right through Farnborough itself, then PM me as I used to work on the far side of the airfield ( I saved quite a few hours getting in and out in 2012 & 2014! )

PS: what I have read since posting the above, does anyone have more info on the possible road closures around the field, especially on Friday?

I use the train from Wokingham (train starts at Reading). Very easy with free shuttle buses to and from the airfield from the station.

Used this for a number of years, I tend to go on the Friday.

RAF Typhoon display have tweeted that they will not be displaying at Farnborough this year but have said that BAe Systems will provide a role demo.

Seems bizarre? :S
