I very much doubt you’ll be able to view from the outside because of road closures and restrictions. But it’s only £25, just buy a ticket. A once in a lifetime event that won’t be repeated again.

Maybe not everyone can afford or justify the cost - down to the individual - not to be told what to do.

Anyway back to the question, Grange Road which runs parallel to the runway on the south side will be closed off according to this website:

Great attitude - makes me feel all warm and snuggly...

Just what do you think would happen if everyone decided not to pay for a ticket?? Er, no event, that's what!

The US contingent especially have spent considerable time and incurred great expense to support this - your mean-spirited comment does you and others of your kind no credit at all!

How can you misinterpret so few words? I'm NOT mean spirited I simply pointed out that those who genuinely cannot afford to go should not be told to fork out what they do not have. I am well aware of the cost and reasons for this event. Just for the record, if I didn't have to work I would happily have paid to go. Next time try reading what is written without making up your own version and slinging insults.

Any A/As noted at any stage?
Weather here in Caen is poor, as is the forecast, but hope springs eternal.

Fabulous day at Duxford today. too many highlights to mention. well done to everyone who was involved in making this happen.
Spent lots of time talking to the pilots and some veterans. Now back at home my mind is reflective on all those who paid the ultimate price, Lest we forget.

Has anybody got a link to an image of today's Dak flypast routing

I have seen an image that shows the route passing overhead Havering - Sudbury - Colchester

But I am sure I saw a link where you could zoom into the map. I have looked at notaminfo but can't figure out this that web page works!

Thanks

Is that take off delayed to 3pm?
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

Are there any displays happening today like they did yesterday? Or is it just the daks leaving later?

Thanks

BBC cambs saying take off delayed until 15:24 and Duxford have not said why.

It's their prerogative but why the secrecy , just say technical or weather or VIP flights , people will understand- it's not 1944!

Duxford is on runway 24.

Wondering if the Daks will make a right turn out to route around to the north of Duxford to head east? That will keep them away from Luton although it is more distance.

14:50 I can see a pair of spitfires in the distance putting on a spirited display

IWM-Duxford latest tweet:
"The schedule has moved forward slightly and the mass Daks departure from Duxford is now scheduled for 15:10 - we wouldn't want you to miss your pictures!"
