D-Day Squadron 2024 Legacy Tour

To mark the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the D-Day Squadron returns to the skies of Duxford following the sell-out Daks Over Duxford event in 2019 for the historic D-Day 75 commemorations.

The drama will build on Saturday 1 June with an aerial spectacle of dynamic flypasts and a mass parachute drop over historic Duxford airfield. As Sunday 2 June dawns, the full fleet will begin their journey over to Cherbourg, with a grand parade over IWM Duxford on the second day of the air show, as they head out to continue their commemorative flight.

This epic Second World War mass flight display will bring the extraordinary story of the D-Day landings to life in the air at Duxford Summer Air Show. Whilst on the ground, activities, living history groups and Imperial War Museums' static collections will tell Duxford's own D-Day story.
