What sounded like GNY 4611 was with London info 124.600 a short time ago, guessing it's the one due at Yeovilton?

GNY 4611 showing on PP as Lynx [3FA994] 83+20

These normally stop off en route - I think it dropped into Marham last year. 83+20 is the one with the fantastic midnight blue colour scheme.

Spitfire Arrived in Formation with a ME-109.
RAF Typhoon in Static From XI Squadron.

Photocall Was Very Good, Bit Late Entering and They Didn't Open the Gates to Allow Us to Leave Until 20:00, Had to Stand on a Chair a Couple of Time Just to See What Was coming in on 27 To Land and During the Rehearsals as I Couldn't Take Pictures Through People.

There's only been the odd blip since Strathallan cut 'Zebedee' up - most notably the vandalism suffered a couple of years ago. Fortunately we were able to source a pilots seat and two new MR1/T4 control yokes, which have got VP293 on the road towards being the great display exhibit she was a few years ago. Radios and a new engineers panel will be added shortly.

VP293 has been doing the show circuit this year as part of the Shackleton Preservation Trust's fundraising and PR effort for WR963. She is still owned by the gentleman that recovered the remains from Strathallan, and is unlikely to be changing hands.

In times between shows, she's resident at Coventry with WR963.

Kind regards,

Rich W
