Martin Baker Meteor T.7s, HeliOps Sea King & NATO E-3A haven't arrived, as far as I'm aware.
Sure I saw pictures of Seaking arriving?

Highlight of the Arrivals Day for me was the F/A18 display (it's enough to make a F-16 driver depressed, even a Danish one) in particulars and the roll immediately after take-off- the Canadians did this at RIAT many years ago but were told not to repeat on the Sunday. Hopefully we will see it tomorrow :thumb:

Well hopefully a good day is on the cards for tomorrow. I’m currently sat in Wincanton with a cold Thatchers. I’ll be the one kicking around wearing the HAF t shirt.

Looking forward to tomorrow, but haven't sorted my cameras yet. As this is the one event my wife comes with me and as she suffers from Ms we will be in the disabled area. It would be nice to meet up with some fellow members. To find me look for the path of destruction my wife has caused with her mobility scooter.

Absolutely bloo*y fantastic show! :thumb:

Greek F-16 got a little low and broke the display line, decent view of the aircraft though.

Only complaint, why oh why do they insist on putting the barriers so close to static aircraft? Almost impossible to get a shot of the French Lynx & NH-90.

Absolutely agree on the static barriers! Pretty much vacuum formed to the fuselage of the Lithuanian C-27, I understand people wanting to go up close to these things but it's a right pain for photos even with a wide lens!

The Commando role demo stole the show for me this year, I was absolutely in awe! Smoke grenades being thrown everywhere, Wildcats with door gunners firing blanks and proper low level tactical helicopter flying. What a great demonstration of Yeoviltons rotary wing capability!

Canadian F-18 was superbly painted & looked amazing, as for the star of the flying display,, that well & truly goes to the Danish Air Force F-16 pilot. What a display that was, low, noise, lots of afterburner,, just a shame he won’t be displaying at RIAT next week.

I even thanked him for a great display as the Danish pilots were heading back to the twin seat in static. In which he seemed shocked that I said he was best display aircraft.

Really great show this year, hopefully next year will be as good!

Really enjoyed today. CF-18 or Danish F16 were the highlights. Hard to choose. Although the Commando raid finale was also fantastic.

Fairly sure the Greek F16 broke the display line at one point though (ended up almost in the active heli area).

Agree about the static barriers, way too close. Wide angle lens it was impossible to remove them, even at 10mm!

Only real annoyance were groups of people putting up tents and large multiple rugs and zoning off a huge chunk of grass area for themselves. Left very little room to walk or get to a good photo spot.

I thoroughly Enjoyed it, would agree with the fencing off the of the Static,

Did anyone else hear the Danish Pilot get a telling off for going to close to the Display line. (made some great photos tho)

Didn’t hear it but I was down the far end near the on-site parking area and when he came in I looked at my brother and he thought the same thing as me ‘damn that was close’ lol

Great show, the sunlight and haze played havoc with my shots, but still got quite a few worth saving. Even though they reckoned there were no cancellations the Nato E3 and Martin Baker Meteors didn't make it. Nice to see the seakings static and flying before retirement. Had to have a cool shower when I got home, trying to cool the sun burn down. Had to take some shots 'sniper' style as was trying to take a break in the shade. Hope you all enjoyed the day and got home safe.

A log of the aircraft would be good, are we posting on here or starting another thread ?

Riat next Saturday...

Does anyone have a scanned copy of the checklist they could supply, please? Never got the chance to pick one up.
