Just to clarify the 3 Hawks flying today were XX157 "CU" and XX329 "844/CU", which did the Commando Assault demo early on, and then XX324, coded "324", landed around 1245. There are a couple of Hawk typo's in the thread above.
Oopp - corrected thanks.

and there was also a Chipmunk and Bulldog in the static which evaded me.
I logged Bulldog XX668/I yesterday near to the RNHF hangar, together with Auster TW519. The only Chipmunk I remember is the 'fake' based Portugese one (1377 from memory). There is also lots of museum and preserved stuff around the static area and I didn't attempt to log that.

There are also 3 Gazelles - one in static (CU-39 IIRC) and two on the flightline near where the now demolished old tower was.

Arrived this afternoon. :thumb:
21 WHITE [503FD7] on my box, just before 13:00BST.
Interesting as there was no 21 White arrived at Yeovilton; however 23 Blue arrived at about 1340 hrs Local . Does this mean they have 're-coded / re-numbered' it but not changed its Hex Code??
Possibly..., or a box swap..., or the info at http://www.gatwickaviationsociety.org.u ... lookup.asp is incorrect.

Hi,
Did anyone manage to read off the Wildcats that were parked outside the Navy hangars when we were allowed in?

Many thanks in advance

Rob

Thanks Malcolm for the updates. The Chippie was the based WK608, on the static side.

Rob - 516, 533, and 380 were side on in a row left to right as we drove in. 380 and 533 subsequently flew. 528 moved to our enclosure from near H13 during the day, and 514 was towed around to the static too.

I've got possibly 522 sitting outside H13 nose on all day. I also saw a couple of Army AH1's being dragged into the static from the Western hangars, one was possibly 407.

Cheers
DC

Many thanks to MRTT and all the other contributors to this thread. :thumb: It proved an invaluable aid for a look over the fence last night after we got back in the country.
