Shame well if they want the show to go on it will have to be held at Culdrose as long as Yeovilton organises it for them it would be good after 4 years !

I note that the RN customer survey for the 2019 show has "See you next year" in large letters on the opening page.

Hello guys, quick question - has any one here used the disabled car park ? I have limited walk capability and was wondering how they dealt with blue card holders ? Could I watch the display from my car ?

You're probably best to ask the Organisers directly as I'm sure they'll have a compliant Disabled Access plan as part of their *Risk Assessment. Last time I attended with a Blue-Badge Holder (10 years ago?) we remained in the car & were routed from the Parking at the eastern end (r/way 27) amongst the *Pedestrian visitors across Speckington Lane onto the airfield to a dedicated area where you could remain in or adjacent to the car. Granted, times have changed, but hopefully for the better as it's now 25 years since the DDA of 1995 was introduced. Subsequent iterations of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) in 2010 & 2018 only reinforce the requirement for organisers to provide robust & adequate provision for you to attend & NOT be made to feel deprived of the full opportunity & experience of able-bodied persons. I have used the disabled area for the last three years as my wife suffers with MS. There is no vehicle access to the disabled viewing area, there is a dedicated disabled parking area on hard standing but on the other side of the road to the actual airfield. There is a specific entrance for disabled but here again it is along side the public entrance by the museum and it is quite a walk to the disabled as it is on the flight line. Most of the people with mobility difficulties are either in wheelchairs or on mobility scooters. I believe they may be a scooter hire stand by the exit of the car park, I don't think you are allowed to stay in the car park and watch. There are no refreshment facilities in the area but only a very short walk outside. The one thing I will stay the disabled area is manned well and nothing is to much trouble for them to look after the occupants and there are disabled toilets within the viewing area as well.

I managed to park on the airfield last time adjacent to a disabled parking area (after getting lost whilst heading to the VIP entrance). It was only yards from the static display and you passed en-route some very old fuselages at the rear of some building. That parking spot was here:
