After a quiet period the RCAF Herc now in. 2 Tucanos ZF264 and ZF448 also landed plus 2 more Wasps(1 was XT787) to add to one that arrived early today. Plus the museum one(XT778) in static makes 4.

Bring on the Harriers!!

The roads are closed to vehicles (legally) till 8PM tonight. After 8PM they should open, but there will still be waiting/parking restrictions in place. So you can legally drive down there after 8pm, but not stop/wait :halo:

There is no legal restriction to walking down there at any time this weekend as far as I can see.

Chester, Malcolm is correct, although history tells that the squaddie on the road block goes down the pub quite sometime before 8pm.

Well, that showed us what we’ve been missing: Smokewinders billowing from miles out before joining the circuit, an approach speed that made the Beaver look like a rocket ship and the dirtiest climb out this side of an An-12. Oh, and two special tails.

They really were gorgeous Brian. Really brought back memories here. Lovely pair gear up approach first then around for a gear down approach then one did some hovering and came round again. Superb.
Serials are VA.1B-37/01-925 and VA.1B-24/01-914.

P-72A also just arrived. Very smart machine too. Tiny serial but looks like MM62298/41-03.

16:25L Skyvan has wandered off up over the Somerset levels between Taunton and Street (easier to spell than Bridgewater). Suspect that's it for the interesting arrivals today.

Moved on by security in the morning but allowed back later by the same people only to be told by a kiwi blonde bombshell that if we stayed the displays would be cancelled, lots of confusion as to who was legally correct , behaviour today from non spotters may have just crushed outside viewing at Yeovilton Pyle lane

Unbelievable. Both of the Spanish AV-8s, the Lithuanian C-27 and the Italian P-72A have been to the UK before. Couldn't make it up

If you're on foot, then security have no authority over you and you can tell them to go do one. Ignore them, and if they persist ask them to call the Civvy Police so they can get the TRO explained to them. Always helps to print out a copy of the TRO and carry it with you in the unlikely event security ever do call the rozzers.

However, the blonde bombshell is correct - if FLYCO/Airshow Director decides that the gatherings of people outside the fence pose an unreasonable risk then he/she can (and probably should post Shoreham) stop the flying displays. So choose your battles carefully.

The footpaths in sheep field and around the back of the southside hangars all the way to the weir ARE closed to everyone this weekend.

Me being an old f@'rt, it would be quicker to write down which ones haven't been over before.
Still some goodies in there though.

This year's (and next year's) TRO is a mess. It does say that the roads are closed from 00:01 Friday till 20:00 Saturday, yet the signs that were up last night said 05:00-20:00 Friday and Saturday. The TRO is the legal document, so you could get done if you drive a vehicle down there despite what the signs say.

However, The forewword clearly says "No person shall cause or permit any Vehicle to proceed along lengths....", and Schedule 1 says "Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles....". Nothing (other than the Schedule 4 footpath stuff) in the document prohibits pedestrians.
