In the previous post there is comment about the rescue being at the limit for operations.

In this BBC report there is a comment about a seaman who was badly injured at sea on Friday but the conditions were too severe for either sea or air rescue to be attempted, at the time, and that he was ultimately flown to hospital during Saturday morning.

It highlights the severity of the recent storms and reminds us, rightly, that there is limit to what rescuers can achieve.
