Re: Culdrose G7 Movements
Is Hangar E2 in that row around the corner not far from the viewing area, the same hangars the Dutch NH-90 have used in the past? You can follow the fence line around the back of the hangars
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Culdrose G7 Movements
At a guess hangar E2 is one of those on Echo ramp, by the 06 numbers? That is, as I say, a guess!

Re: Culdrose G7 Movements
Ok where is Echo ramp - if you mean runway 06 then are they are the hangars at the opposite end to the viewing area?
I have been to Culdrose a few times but I don't know the names of the ramps
Ta
Edit : found a map: Taxiway E is the opposite end from the viewing area so I assume hangar E2 is there where the 771NAS Seakings were - took a bit of hunting. E2 is probably obvious if you are local but not so if you are an occasional visitor.

Re: Culdrose G7 Movements
You're quite right - fat fingers!
Another correction again, VH-3s are using hangar E1. E1/E2 are the westernmost hangars on the airfield, close to the main road. Typically, the furthest hangars from the viewing enclosure. 771's most recent home was on Delta site, just along from Echo and close to the main gate - Echo houses 824 NAS. Bravo South is the pan closest to the enclosure. Sorry for any confusion!
Also added in serials for MV-22s which made a stop tonight prior to a flight with the VH-3s.
Re: Culdrose G7 Movements
Hangars E1 & E2 are the ones furthest from the viewing area, 824 NAS used them (don’t know wether they still do) and before that the Gazelles.
For completeness,
A hangars are the SFDO
B hangars are to the right of the viewing area Sea king ASaC used to be there and Merlin 814NAS
C hangars are the Beech 350s and Hawks
D hangars was where 771 NAS Sea kings were.
And W hangars is the MDMF
This was how it was 10 years ago when I was last there.
Hoe this helps

Re: Culdrose G7 Movements
Not too different now! 736 Sqn Hawks are now over right next to the viewing enclosure. Sea King ASaCs spent their last few years over on D site with B site being frontline Merlin zone housing 814 and 824. One of the buildings still says 829 as well, although sadly they folded into 814.
