Jet over Cury

Post by EGDR » Fri Jul 26, 2013 9:04 am

Just now heard a heavy jet noise that didn't sound like a Hawk, does anyone know if the Typhoon has departed out of CU yet. If it was a Hawk it must have had its engine pointed towards me for that roar!

Yes I heard it too. There are two Hawks in the circuit (just landed) so it could have been them. Probably was the Typhoon, but thought it might have sounded noisier than it did. Shame they are on 12 today, otherwise would have seen it over Helston.

Long gone are the days where a FJ did an airfield 'beat up' before departing... :-(

Clearly Remember standing in cades parc with you and your dad early morning on departure day back in the early eighties while a pair of danish drakens beat up the airfield before departing . Happy days !
