Abingdon Show revised date
I note that a new date has been decided for the show that was postponed last month. It is stated that it will take place on Saturday 21 September. No doubt more details will follow at some time, such as tickets. Cannot say if tickets from the original event will be accepted though, maybe the organisers will issue something.

...well they would be ill advised if they expect those unfortunate people who have paid to do so again

Re: Abingdon Show revised date
Although this event may not be a top draw for hardcore Globetrotter enthusiasts, it is usually well attended by said persons.
Sadly the revised date is smack in the middle of the most intense overseas Airshow month in 2024!
It won't break the Bank if I don't go, but the ban on civilian fixed-wing aircraft landing at Abingdon...or any dispensation for
display aircraft to operate from there, almost certainly will be the end of an era. Historically, I'm struggling to recall an event
that had restrictions imposed or missed a year that ever successfully returned? That could be loss of memory or a cynical block!
Hereafter probably named the Abingdon Country Fayre, which can be held in any field away from these dis-functional MOD Types!
The Chalke Valley Festival have air displays over open fields....might work?

'Blackcat 831' C17 ZZ173 inbound Abingdon from Brize for the Air & Country Show
Re: Abingdon Show revised date
Abingdon are in discussions to have some of the Kings Birthday Flypast to be included in the afternoons events, more will be known closer to the date.
this information is direct from the official show page on facebook.
potentially that could mean most of the Heavy content returning to Brize and probably the Reds on a flypast as well, nice coup if it comes off.
